TAUKO Issue No.17 - Happiness
This winter issue is a celebration of happiness in making and wearing self-made clothing. Sewing is a simple and accessible form to spark joy and bring a sense of purpose, whether you’re creating festive wear for the season, thoughtful handmade gifts, or simply enjoying the process of planning and making by hand. Alongside the patterns, the issue features articles and essays offering new perspectives on sewing, creativity, and wellbeing, reminding us why working with our hands is one of the simplest and most rewarding ways to feel happy.
Inside, you’ll discover 10 sewing patterns by independent designers worldwide, ranging from detailed and joyful dresses with playful details (smocking makes a beautiful return in this issue!) to small, easy projects perfect for building skills or making quick gifts. Each pattern design comes with printed sewing patterns and step-by-step instructions, making them accessible for sewists of all skill levels. With sizes ranging from 31" (78 cm) to 57.5" (146 cm) bust, these patterns celebrate creativity for every body.
From festive dresses to mindful small makes, Issue No.17 is your invitation to sew for joy this season!
